Challenge
With one of the most utilised airplane engines in the world, CFM's new LEAP engine was designed with a wealth of cutting edge technologies designed to create unbeaten efficiency, reliability and speed. However, most people, including CFM's customers, weren't aware of the majority of these design elements due to CFM's slightly dated product page on their website.
Mission
Reinvent the CFM LEAP website page to better communicate it's incredible technologies in a compelling, interactive manner.
Solution
Consulting with the engineering & product teams, we devised a series of key components to highlight as examples of the LEAP's most cutting edge of features. We were also granted access to the LEAP's CAD data, which we then optimised and developed to create a perfect digital double of the product to use as the hero CGI asset for the experience.
Knowing our key features, we then worked to structure the order & copy for each stage to ensure a cohesive flow of camera moves & features, creating cameras that could be used for both the CGI rendering as well as passing on to the development team to integrate into the live web experience.
As well as overseeing the project, I also worked hands-on to create the script & storyboards, as well as animating the cameras and providing the compositing, editing and motion graphics for the experience.
